We were less than satisfied. They quickly took our order but never brought out my husbands salad with his habachi meal. The waiter asked if there were any food allergies I told him I had a severe gluten allergy- I ordered the tuna tower- came covered in gluten. Luckily they fixed it. Our cook for my husbands habachi seemed like he didn’t want to be there- he dropped some onions on the floor and another customer slipped on them so it seemed like he was distracted by that. No big deal we’re adults and not necessarily there for the show. I took a bite of my husbands steak and I had to immediately run outside and spit the steak out because a somewhat long black hair was tangled in my piece of steak. We usually find the food delicious but it was subpar at best. Needless to say we will not be back anytime soon.

We decided to stop here for Fathers Day supper before our movie. We decided to just sit instead of waiting for a grill seat. They took our order right away. But it took 40 minutes to get our food. The grills kept getting more attention. I asked a waitress how much longer it would be. She didn’t say she would check. She just said she didn’t know. So I finally asked if she could check. She came out 10 minutes later saying they were working on it and it would be out soon. I asked how soon is soon. Our movie time was quickly approaching. She looked at us and literally said again she didn’t know. Then just walked away. We finally got our food. Nothing was seasoned. The rice was bland. The steak and chicken needed salt. We had to drown our plates in ginger and soy sauce to get flavor. When we asked to pay she brought the card reader over and made sure to put it on the tip screen. First and last time here. It was awful. Apologies it was the ohana on 82nd street

It might just be the pregnancy talking, but we tried this place for the first time on Tuesday and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. The Shaggy Dog roll and the steak/chicken hibachi were so good that we ended up ordering the exact same thing for takeout the very next night. Love that we found this gem. It’s only 5 minutes from our house and easily the best hibachi I’ve ever had!!! We will definitely be back often. Our waitress was so sweet, and the whole place was clean and quiet. Such a great experience all around!!

7/30/30 - birthday meal. Decent size crowd, had a short wait for hibachi grill table. Great cook with good personality. Food was cooked perfectly. They have added Tilapia to the fish option with salmon. No salad or shrimp appetizers during lunch and the portions are smaller than dinner. We are not sushi fans, but the sushi our table mates did look really good! We will definately be returning in the future!! 12/24/2022 - Christmas Day meal with the family. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not very busy and we arrived about 12:45 pm. The Good: We were able to sit at one of the grills and had a great waiter and cook!! Everything was cooked to order and the soup was fantastic. The Bad: too much ginger in the salad dressing which is normally my favorite - didn't finish it. We came for lunch on Sunday for Fathers Day. Arrived about 1:30 pm to avoid some of the crowd. Be aware that at lunch, salad with ginger dressing and the shrimp appetizer DO NOT come with the meal!! This location also does not have catfish, but they do have salmon. Food was ok, the cook was not as personable as some of the ones we have had. He overcooked the steak, was supposed to be medium, came out
